Nicki Rowland is a practice manager, not a dentist. She wrote a children's book with her daughter. What followed was a nationally recognised charity with parliamentary backing, two appearances in the House of Commons in the past month, BBC coverage, and an Adopt-a-School programme pairing dental practices with the schools and communities where children are three times more likely to have poor oral health.
Her team includes a magician from Derren Brown's circle, a former Good Morning Britain senior producer, and 12 internationally acclaimed chefs contributing to a charity cookbook. She runs the charity with a part-time PA.
